The United States Breastfeeding Committee has developed Core Competencies in Breastfeeding for Health Professionals.  Core competencies in breastfeeding care and services were developed to provide health care providers with guidelines and framework to integrate evidence-based breastfeeding knowledge skills and attitudes into their standard health care practices.  The competencies can be found at the USBC's website, www.usbreastfeeding.org.
